Lilliput look to keep up in Sandals Major League
Lilliput Rovers will seek to stay in contention in the St James Football Association/Sandals Resorts International Major League when they take on Montego Bay Boys Club at Spot Valley High in a second-round game today.
Lilliput Rovers are third in Zone B, behind leaders Reggae Youths on 15 points and Cambridge United on nine points. The Lilliput team would move into second place on goal-difference with a win.
Lilliput Rovers, who have won just once in their last three games, had won the first-round game against Montego Bay Boys Club 3-0, and will hope they can complete the season sweep over the former champions.
Also today, Heights FC will seek to end a streak of three games without a victory when they take on winless Wadada United FC at the Mount Salem Community Centre.
Heights FC’s last win this season came against Wadada United FC when they triumphed 4-1 in the first round.
Jevar Maxwell, who has five goals so far, is on a good scoring run, and Heights FC will expect him to be among the scorers today.
Wadada United have lost all four games so far.
