As per our telephone discussion, I am sending you an email detailing the problems my friend LM has been experiencing at the Kingston Public Hospital (KPH). LM is a cancer patient at KPH and she has told me that since August 2023, she has not been afforded the opportunity to see her primary care doctor at the hospital because her docket cannot be found.

The KPH gave her an appointment date for the middle of December 2023, but when she went to the hospital on that date, she was told by patient care that she would not be able to see her primary care doctor due to the fact that they cannot find her docket.

As she is in excruciating pain at times I am asking for your help. I am sending you her date of birth and her docket and telephone numbers.

Tell Claudienne contacted Dr Natalie Whylie, the acting CEO of Victoria Jubilee and KPH, and the office of the CEO of the South East Regional Health Authority (SERHA) Errol Greene.

On January 3, 2024
Tell Claudienne received the following email from the Manager, Public Relations, SERHA:

“Please be advised that LM is scheduled for review in the Surgical Outpatient Department this Friday, January 5, 2024. See the email thread below with the response from Dr Natalie Whylie, acting chief executive officer, Kingston Public and Victoria Jubilee Hospitals. “

LM has informed
Tell Claudienne that prior to January 3, Dr Whylie notified her via a telephone call that the KPH had found her docket.

“I went to her office and she took me to the doctor and gave him the docket,” LM explained.

LM said that the primary care doctor sent her to “do blood work and to get a cat scan”.

She said that she was scheduled to see the KPH doctor on Friday, February 2, 2024.
