Cops seek woman for burglary, stabbing of ex-lover in Trelawny
TRELAWNY, Jamaica— Police are seeking the ex-girlfriend of a man after his house was broken into, his property destroyed, and he was stabbed and injured on Peel Street in Falmouth, Trelawny, on Sunday morning.
The 25-year-old man, a construction worker, has since been hospitalised in serious condition.
Reports are that around 11:00 pm, the man securely locked his dwelling and retired to bed. He was awakened about 3:00 am by a loud knocking on his window and door.
The man checked and saw his ex-girlfriend. She reportedly kicked his door open, entered with a pair of scissors and stabbed him in the left side of his chest and right palm.
The suspect then made her escape on foot in the area. The now-injured man was assisted to hospital. The damage to the window and door is estimated at $16,000, the police said.
