Police seek public’s help identifying man killed downtown
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Detectives assigned to the Denham Town Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB) are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the body of a man who was killed at the intersection of Princess and Beeston Street on Monday, February 12.
The body is of dark complexion, slim build, about 180 centimetres (5 feet 11 inches) long and has a dreadlock hairstyle.
It was clad in blue jeans, a camouflage shirt and a navy blue pullover long-sleeve shirt, grey shoes and red tam.
Reports are that about 8:50 pm, a police team was on patrol in the area when explosions were heard. The team responded and the man was found lying on the sidewalk suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was assisted to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Another man reportedly turned up at hospital later indicating he had been shot in the same area. He is being treated.
