Ten years after it was released, the song Fade Away by California reggae band Rebelution has been certified gold in America for digital sales exceeding 500,000 units.

The certification was issued by the Recording Industry Association of America on March 1.

Fade Away features the vocals of the band’s lead vocalist Eric Rachmany. Rory Carey played keyboard on the track, while Wesley Finley played drums. Marley Williams provided the bass, while Meyerowitz plays trumpet.

Fade Away is featured on the group’s 2014 album Count Me In, which topped the Billboard Reggae Albums chart and peaked at #14 on the all-genre Billboard 200 Albums chart.

Count Me In sold more than 17,000 copies in its first week of release back in March 2014. The album features the songs
Hate To Be The One featuring reggae artiste Collie Buddz and Roots Reggae Music with Jamaican Don Carlos.

Rebelution was formed in 2004 by the members who were students at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

The group is ranked among the best-selling American reggae bands.

Falling Into Place, the group’s 2016 album, was nominated for a Grammy in the Best Reggae Album category.
