#Champs2024: Semis set for Class 3 boys’ 100m
KINGSTON, Jamaica – After eight heats contested, 24 athletes are set to compete in Wednesday’s semi-finals of the Class 3 boys’ 100m at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championships.
The automatic qualifiers are Mario Ross (11.36) and Deandre Myers (11.65) of Wolmer’s Boys, the Jamaica College pair of Olando Anglin (11.65) and Darnell Douglas (12.04), Naethan Bryan (11.39) and Rushaun Dunn of St George’s College (11.82), Kingston College’s Kelvin Brown (11.83) ;Orandy Campbell (11.70), Ched Brown (11.42) and Divondrae Matthews (11.85) of Calabar High, Javarie Edwards of Bridgeport High (11.590, Edwin Allen’s Taheem Thompson (11.70) and Kalel Archibald (11:58); St Jago High’s Andre Boyd (11.49), Hanief Jones of Clarendon College (11.83), and St Elizabeth Technical’s Jamanie Hylton (11.70).
Meanwhile, Jevanie Findlay of St Jago (11.65), Charlemont High’s Kevar Johnson (12.08), Manchester High’s Keiron Gavin (12.24), Khaheim Bennett of St Mary Technical (12.00), Shawn-jay Frances of Belmont Academy (12.22), Jamaal Graham of Herbert Morrison (11.90), Leopole Lambert of Manchester High (11.86) and Charlemont High’s Kymani Smith (12.02) have advanced based on time.
The Class 3 boys contest the 100m semi-finals at 5:45 pm.
