#Champs2024: KC’s Wade hunts gold in Class 2 boys’ 100m
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Kingston College’s Nyron Wade’s 10.45 seconds was the fastest time recorded in the semis of the Class 2 boys’ 100m at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championships, on Wednesday.
Wade topped semi-final two as Herbert Morrison’s Tavaine Stewart (10.59) finished second.
Malike Nugent of Excelsior High took semi-final one in 10.58, while Muschett’s Johan-Romaldo Smythe clocked 10.67 for second.
KC’s Kyle Bodden (10.59) and Thomas Daley of Cornwall College (10.69) are the top finishers from semi-final three.
Calabar’s Byron Walker (10.70) and Antwone Bygrave of St George’s College (10.73) are the two non-automatic qualifiers.
The final of the Class 2 boys’ 100m is scheduled for Wednesday at 8:18 pm.
