#Champs2024: Hydel’s Johnson headlines Class 4 girls’ 200m prelims
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Teixiera Johnson of Hydel High’s 25.28 seconds was the standard following the preliminaries of the Class 4 girls’ 200m at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championships on Thursday morning.
The other automatic qualifiers are Hydel’s Tyecia McDonald (25.34); Holmwood Technical’s Tianna Blair (26.06) and Alonia Crawford (26.04); St Jago’s Chelsea-Ann Samuels (26.32) and Jamilia Alves (26.50); Rihana Lawes of Holy Childhood (27.10); Convent of Mercy Alpha’s Azaria Harris (25.74) and Imani Crawford (26.34); Manchester High’s Lennora Scarlett (26.23) and Taliah Honeyghan (26.31); Jadeanne Patterson of Alphansus Davis (26.08); Edwin Allen’s Makaila McDonald (26.01); Maggotty High’s Kerian Jarrett (26.09); York Castle’s Niara Edwards (26.38) and Shadae Gilette of St James High (26.11).
Meanwhile, the Queen’s School’s Tavia Hepburn (26.93); Micka-Lee James of York Castle (26.31); Mick-Kayla Gardener of Wolmer’s Girls (26.90); Ferncourt’s Zhana Williamson (26.62); Dinthill Technical’s Joey Livine (27.04); Latanya Briscoe of St Andrew High (27.10); Edwin Allen’s Tessian Daley (26.81) and Tirunesh Johnson of St Mary High (26.83) advanced based on time.
The semis of the Class 4 girls’ 200m is set for Friday at 12:45pm.
