Newbie Josue Osorio saddles up on tomorrow’s 10-race card
Panamanian jockey Josue Osorio is set to make his local debut at Caymanas Park on Saturday, March 23, 2024.
Osorio, a newbie to the scene, came in Jamaica on Tuesday, March 19 and successfully presented the requisite credentials and approval to local authorities. This development authorises his entry in the racing line-up for the forthcoming race meet tomorrow.
A preliminary inquiry by Jamaica Observer’s The Supreme Racing Guide into Osorio’s track record on Equibase, an international racing database, yielded no results.
Further inquiries, both in Jamaica and overseas, have indicated at Osorio’s involvement in European and Middle Eastern circuits, particularly in Italy.
The 22-year-old Osorio has secured five rides on tomorrow’s 10-race card four from champion trainer Jason DaCosta and one from Patrick “Wacky” Lynch.
Osorio will ride DaCosta’s D Bay Machine in the second race; Himaya in the third race;
Sparkles in the eighth race; and Madelyn’s Sunshine in the ninth race, the Saint Cecelia Cup.
His lone ride for Lynch will come in the sixth race aboard Katalina.
