Teenage entrepreneur enjoys success with burgeoning clothing brand
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Despite his youth, a 17-year-old entrepreneur is making waves in the fast-paced world of fashion.
He is Carmelo Onfroy who is the owner anconceptualiser of the clothing brand, Oldcrisis.
Established just last year, the brand is reportedly raking in a steady revenue stream. Onfroy in a release on Friday shared that his designs have been reaping success through the endorsement of a number of social media influencers and celebrities.
Describing his line as one that possesses an “edgy aesthetic and commitment to quality,” Onfroy says the brand resonates with a youthful demographic seeking “stylish yet affordable clothing options.”
As a young designer, Onfroy in the release said he believes he has demonstrated “a remarkable understanding of consumer trends and branding, propelling Oldcrisis to newfound heights in the competitive fashion industry.”
But despite what he described as a “rapid ascent to success” Onfroy expressed an urge to remain grounded and focused as brand expansion is high on his list of priorities.
“As Oldcrisis continues to gain momentum, industry observers eagerly anticipate what the future holds for Carmelo Onfroy and this burgeoning fashion empire,” the release stated.
