Two more die from Fern Gully crash
ST ANN, Jamaica – Two more persons have died as a result of injuries sustained in a vehicular crash in Fern Gully, St Ann last week, bringing the number of fatalities to three.
Kayla Brown, an 8-year-old student at Alpha Primary School, passed away at the Bustamante Hospital for Children on Saturday, while Noreen Allen, 58, passed away on Monday.
The first victim of the crash was 49-year-old Suzette Thomas. All three victims resided on Wild Street in Kingston.
The tragic incident occurred on Sunday, March 31, when a bus carrying 23 passengers, including 16 children, veered off the road along the Fern Gully main road.

Police report that the driver lost control of the vehicle after the right front tyre burst, resulting in the crash.
The passengers were reportedly en route to St Mary for a fun day.
Thomas passed away on the evening of the crash at the St Ann’s Bay Hospital, while several injured individuals were admitted for treatment.

Due to the severity of their injuries, Kayla and others were transferred to Kingston for further medical care.
At least three individuals remain hospitalised in critical condition.
