Sean Paul, Young Jonn collab hits US Afrobeats chart

Hold On, a collaborative effort by Nigerian Afrobeats producer and recording artiste Young Jonn, featuring dancehall artiste Sean Paul, makes its debut on Billboard’s US Afrobeats Songs chart at #46.

The song is taken from Young Jonn’s 16-track debut album Jiggy Forever, which was released on April 12 via Chocolate City Music.

This is Sean Paul’s first entry on the Afrobeats Songs chart.

Still on the US Afrobeats Songs chart, Tyla’s Jump featuring Gunna and dancehall artiste Skillibeng remains at #3. The song spends its fourth week at #1 on the UK Afrobeats Songs chart, while darting from #13 to #8 on the UK Hip Hop Singles chart.

On the Official UK Singles chart, Jump rises from #43 to #38 in its fourth week. However, it makes its debut on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 at #87. And, finally,
Jump continues its upward trajectory on the Billboard Hot R&B Songs chart, stepping up from #16 to #13.

Find Me Here (Blessings Find Me) by Trinidadian gospel and reggae artiste Sherwin Gardner receives a new lease on life. The song improves from #33 to #27 on the US Afrobeats Songs chart, while re-entering Billboard’s Gospel Digital Song Sales chart at #10. It debuted and peaked at #2 more than three months ago.

YG Marley’s Praise Jah in the Moonlight creeps from #44 to #43 in its fifth week on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, while holding steady at #28 on Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay. On Billboard’s Canadian Hot 100 chart, it backtracks from #53 to #54.

Now onto the streaming and sales-driven Billboard Reggae Albums chart, Bob Marley and the Wailers continue their winning ways as Legend clocks 223 non non-consecutive weeks at #1.

Sean Paul’s Dutty Classics Collection inches up to #2, while Shaggy’s Best of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection slides down to #3.

World on Fire and Set in Stone by Stick Figure are #4 and #5, Greatest Hits by UB40 is steady at #6, while Wisdom by Stick Figure is #7.

Welcome to Jamrock by Damian “Jr Gong” Marley rises to #8, while Exodus and
Kaya by Bob Marley and the Wailers are #9 and #10.

Over on the Foundation Radio Network (New York) Reggae chart, Phyllis Dillon Tribute by Da Flame spends a 5th week at #1.

Praise Jah in the Moonlight by YG Marley bolts from #7 to #5, My Journey by Shuga steps up from #11 to #9, and Hold Me by Morgan Heritage rises from #14 to #10.

This week’s new entries are Friends and Family by Richie Stephens (#28) and
Let Me Help You by Beres Hammond (#30).

Blind Spot by veteran singer Ambelique crowns the #1 spot for a second week. Da Flames’
Phyllis Dillon Tribute makes its debut at #24 and I Miss You by Empress Uneek enters at #25.
