Section of Golden Grove in St Thomas impassable due to flooding

ST THOMAS, Jamaica— The police are advising motorists that the Hordely Crossing section of Golden Grove main road in St Thomas leading into Portland is currently impassable due to flooding caused by heavy rainfall Sunday night.

The advisory on Monday added that two motorists who were trapped in a vehicle were rescued by the police who responded to a 119 emergency call.

The authorities further warned that people should not try to venture into the area until they are further updated.

Residents may call the 119 Police Emergency Centre for updates.
