Flash flood warning issued: Unstable weather to persist through Friday
The Meteorological Service of Jamaica has issued a flash flood warning for low-lying and flood-prone areas of all parishes until 5 pm on Wednesday.
A flash flood warning is issued when flooding has been reported or is expected to occur shortly.
The local weather centre has advised that there will be an increase in rainfall across the island due to a trough passing over Jamaica. The trough is expected to remain over the island for the next few days, bringing periods of unstable weather, which are expected to continue through Friday.
Additionally, a Tropical Wave is expected to move into the vicinity of the island on Wednesday afternoon.
