Reinas’ Tianna Grant selected for SL Benfica camp
FYI Consultancy Group says it is thrilled that Tianna Grant has been selected as the first beneficiary of a new partnership between the Youth Football League and SIG Group.
Grant recently showcased her talent in the Kemtek-sponsored “Girlz Can Play Too” Youth Football League tournament, earning both the MVP and leading goal scorer awards in the Kingston leg of the competition.
As part of her prize, Grant will attend the SL Benfica Camp from July 8-12, an opportunity made possible through the support of the Youth Football League and SIG Group. This collaboration, FYI says, aims to promote the development of young football talent across Jamaica by providing what it describes as top-tier training and exposure opportunities.
In addition to Grant’s individual accolades, her team, the Reinas girl’s team, received a group prize to attend the Jamaica Pantomime in May. During this event, they were honoured on stage, celebrating their achievements with the cast and crew, further highlighting the positive impact of community support and recognition.
FYI says the Junior Cup, a key initiative of the Youth Football League, continues to offer what it describes as an exceptional platform for young footballers to showcase their football talents and enhance their programmes.
FYI says this year’s Junior Cup U11, exclusive to primary and preparatory schools, promises even greater rewards, with the winning school set to receive a top prize valued at over $250,000. But details have not yet been announced.
Additionally, two outstanding participants from the U11 teams will be awarded placements in the Osasuna Football Camp during Easter 2025 and the SL Benfica Football Camp in 2025, which FYI says will provide invaluable international training experiences.
