Indestructible finally finds victory in dominant performance
After eight career starts, Indestructible, a talented three-year-old bay colt, finally broke his maiden in style on Saturday, August 10, 2024.
Bred by Successful Native out of the War Marshall mare Rudy Girl, Indestructible showcased his potential with a resounding 8 ½-length victory in a maiden special weight contest.
Trained by Phillip Elliott and expertly ridden by Raddesh Roman, Indestructible made a single, decisive move to claim the 5 ½-furlong (1,100m) race in a time of 1:09.0 (24.2 x 49.2 x 1:02.3).
Indestructible broke off well at the start, quickly taking command of the race ahead of Gelroy (Richard Henry), Another Mission (Shane Ellis), and Queen Vauna (Matthew Bennett). Indestructible maintained a comfortable lead going into the half-mile (800m) and then began to pull away approaching the distance.
Turning for home, Indestructible was in complete control and ran out an easy winner ahead The General (Robert Halledeen) and Gelroy.
