Curfews to be imposed in 12 Manchester communities

MANCHESTER, Jamaica— Police in Manchester are reporting that a 48-hour curfew will be imposed in 12 communities in the parish as of Thursday evening.

Among the affected communities in the Mandeville area are May Day, Albion, Barnstaple, Green Street, Tulsa Road, Hillside, New Hall, Royal Flat and Comfort.

The curfew in Mandeville is set to start at 6:20 pm and end on Saturday at 6: 20 pm.

In Porus, another curfew is set to start at 7:00 pm and end on Saturday at 7:00 pm.

Among the areas in Porus set to be under curfew are Trinity, Hampton Road and Redberry.

The police say people within the affected areas are required to remain indoors unless otherwise authorised by the authorities.
