Curfew extended in Manchester
MANCHESTER, Jamaica – Police have extended curfews which were imposed in several Manchester communities last Wednesday and have added seven more areas in the parish under the security measure.
The added communities are in the Christiana police area which commenced on Monday at 6:35 pm are expected to end on Wednesday at 6:35 pm.
Among the communities where the curfew was extended are May Day, Albion, Green Street, Barnstaple, Tulsa Road, Hill Side, New Hall, Royal Flat and Comfort in the Mandeville police area.
In the Porus area: Broadleaf, Trinity, Hampton Road and Redberry Road remain under curfew.
In the Christiana area Craighead, Dobson, Pike, Coleyville, Silent Hill, Ticky Ticky and Line-A-Parish are under curfew.
People within these areas are required to stay indoors unless otherwise authorised by the ground commander.
