Nassau Nice!

The Goldwynn Resort

With the new year already one month old, your travel plans should be in full swing, so as you compile your list, here’s another recommendation for you, in neighbouring Nassau: The Goldwynn Resort and Residences.

While planning my trip to Nassau to celebrate a dear friend’s 50th, I discovered The Goldwynn Resort in Nassau and its modern luxurious lines and décor really appealed to my design sensibilities. Nestled along the pristine shores of Cable Beach, this boutique beachfront property redefines the concept of luxury, offering an unparalleled blend of sophistication, comfort, and serenity. From the moment you enter, you are captivated by the very tasteful bold and contemporary architecture. When you enter the lobby, with its floor-to-ceiling windows and open layouts that invite the ocean breeze and sunlight to flood the space, you are drawn to the infinity pool just off the lobby, that seems to flow into the beach beyond. Its sleek architecture and refined, well-appointed interiors captivate the senses as the design seamlessly integrates contemporary aesthetics with the natural beauty of its surroundings.

Private cabanas edge the white sands of Cable Beach and give a glimpse of the magnificent stay ahead. Accommodations range from elegant studios to expansive multi-bedroom suites, each thoughtfully curated with modern amenities, high-end furnishings and tasteful décor, with personalised touches which ensure a stay that is both comfortable and memorable. But it is the private terraces of each suite that provide the most breathtaking views of the turquoise waters beyond. It was absolutely magnificent watching the sunset from there.

The hotel’s proximity to the water provides beach access unlike any other hotel in the area.

The resort has four dining options that cater to every palate, as culinary excellence is a cornerstone of the Goldwynn experience. You have the option of fine dining — a relaxed beachfront meal at the casual bistro — or you can sip on handcrafted cocktails at the chic rooftop lounge while watching the sunset. But it’s the proximity of the hotel, just a short walk or drive to Nassau’s most vibrant nightlife and casinos, that makes Goldwynn such an amazing choice. A very different vibe from Island House, but an equally great choice that just depends on what you’re looking for in your stay. Despite its proximity to the centre, the resort was designed as a relaxed sanctuary away from the bustle and the balcony views of the sea cement that feeling of serenity.

There is of course a fitness centre and a spa that offers a menu of treatments designed to rejuvenate the body and mind, from soothing massages to revitalising facials, you are able to unwind in the tranquil relaxation lounges or indulge in a private beachfront cabana massage.

With the property located on Cable Beach, there is such easy access to water sport activities and experiences. From snorkelling and paddle boarding in the crystal-clear waters.

I made friends with a very charming concierge, ready and willing to curate bespoke experiences for me, (and every guest, of course). Whether it’s a private yacht excursion, a guided tour of the historic city, or a romantic dinner under the stars, they went above and beyond to make our stay extraordinary and I really look forward to a return.

With modern luxury being such a huge part of our lifestyle, it’s no wonder that there is now such an option available for this particular taste. And with its stunning location, impeccable service, and dedication to excellence, Goldwynn is an excellent choice for the discerning traveller. You can bask in the sun on the private beach, savour a gourmet meal, or explore the rich culture of The Bahamas. Every moment at Goldwynn was extraordinary.
