RAL opens four new restaurants, including two Popeyes, in Spanish Town
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – Restaurant Associates Limited (RAL) has reaffirmed its confidence in Spanish Town’s business environment with the opening of four new restaurants in the old capital including two Popeyes locations as well as a Burger King outlet and a Little Caesars Pizza.
The expansion represents continued investment by RAL in one of Jamaica’s fastest-growing urban centres, generating over 100 jobs and strengthening the company’s presence in the quick-service industry.
At a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sunday, RAL’s CEO, Lisa Lake, highlighted the company’s strategic vision, noting that Spanish Town’s growth made it a prime location for further investment.
“This expansion underscores our belief in the community’s potential. We’ve been here for decades, and we’re committed to creating not just jobs, but career pathways for local talent,” Lake said.
One of RAL’s new Popeyes restaurants as well as the new Little Caesar branch are located on Burke Road, while the other newly-launched Popeyes and the Burger King are located at Angels.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Mayor of Spanish Town Norman Scott, MP Natalie Neita Garvey and MP Denise Daley, who commended the investment as a step toward economic revitalisation.
“Spanish Town is changing, and developments like this are helping to reshape its image. We want to shift the narrative from crime to opportunity,” Neita Garvey stated.
With over 60 RAL-operated restaurants islandwide, the company plans to open additional locations in Spanish Town over the next two years, reinforcing its role as a key player in Jamaica’s fast-food industry.
