New music on the way as Javo Donn set to blaze the stage at Igloo on Saturday

KINGSTON, Jamaica — With trending songs like Cheat Code, Levels to This, Celebration and last year’s chart-topping hit Wuff Wuff, dancehall artiste Javo Donn is ready to excite patrons at this Saturday’s staging of Igloo in Negril.

The event unfolds at Wavz Beach and will feature the musical juggling of Coppershot, DJ Ashile, Platinum Xclusive and DJ Marko Dean.

Speaking with Observer Online earlier this week, the elusive Javo Donn who is from Manchester, said patrons can expect a high-energy performance at Igloo.

“The fans can expect just vibrant energy while connecting with my fans and having a great time,” said Javo Donn.

The deejay, who rarely does interviews is still reeling from the success of last summer’s block buster hit Wuff Wuff, a joint production between Attomatic Records, Antuwang Music, Dan Sky Records, 6ix Real Records and Hugo Boss.

He said new music, including a body of work, is on the way.

“It’s safe to say that I may release an album or an EP. I’m putting in the work but for the time being, I have some new releases including Face Card, Club Lit with Byron Messia, a collaboration with Squash, one with Malie Donn and several other songs,” said Javo Donn.

Born Michael Orlando Bailey, Javo Donn has been involved in music for the past four years.

“I chose the name Javo Donn because I wanted something simple but unique,” he disclosed.

Javo Donn said if music wasn’t on the cards, he would either be an entrepreneur or a real estate agent.

“I got into music just by being around artistes, and friends with a good ear for music recognised my talent and from there I started doing it full time. Along the journey, I have worked with producers such as Attomatic Records, Antuwang Music and Dan Sky Records,” said Javo Donn.
