TRELAWNY, Jamaica — Falmouth United were beaten for the first time this season after they lost 2-0 to Treasure Beach in their return round of the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) Championship game, played at the Trelawny Multi-purpose Stadium on Tuesday.

Despite having their seven-game unbeaten run ended, Falmouth United still leads Zone B with 19 points, three more than Reno FC with Treasure Beach in third place with 14 points.

On Wednesday, Duncans United edged St Bess United 1-0 at the same venue, beating the St Elizabeth-based club for the second time this season.

Anthony Roberts scored in the first half for Duncans United who moved past Holland PYC on goal-difference into fourth place, both on 11 points.

On Tuesday, Treasure Beach snapped a two- game winless run, drawing against Petersfield FC.

Adrian Johnson gave Treasure Beach the lead in the 13th minute, capitalising on a mix-up between the Falmouth United defenders and goalkeeper Tevin Gordon, and scored into an unprotected goal.

Kaymani Case who went into the game as a late substitute, secured the points for Treasure Beach with a ferocious free kick in time added that flew past Gordon into the top right-hand corner of the goal.
