Frazsiers Whip chase fifth straight win in JWPL

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Defending champions Frazsiers Whip FC will be going for a fifth straight win in the Jamaica Women’s Premier League today when they take on Federal United in the first game of a double-header at Alpha Boys Home set to start at 1:30pm.

Cavalier SC and Los Perfectos FC, separated by a point in second and third positions respectively, will meet in the second game at Alpha, set to start at 3:30pm.

Frazsiers Whip FC have been on a rampage, winning all four games played to lead the points tables with 12 points while scoring 28 goals, more than the next two teams combined.

They will take on newcomers Federal United who are in seventh place, with one win that came as a result of a ruling after Springers United were found to have used an ineligible player in their second round draw.

The Cavalier SC vs Los Perfectos FC game could be the most competitive of the round, both coming off big wins last weekend.

Second-placed Cavalier SC have won their last three games, they beat Proven Girls 4-1 away last weekend and along with Frazsiers Whip are yet to lose a game.

With the exception of a big 7-0 loss to Frazsiers Whip, Los Perfectos FC have had a successful return to the league and have conceded one other goal in their three other games played.

With WiFi United resting this weekend, UWI Women FC could take over fourth place with a win over Mile Gully FC who are on one point from their three games played.

UWI Women’s are on six points, one behind WiFi FC and depending on the results of the Cavalier SC vs Los Perfectos game, could move into third place.

The Montego Bay derby will take centre stage at Jarrett Park as Real MoBay AFC on two points will face Springers United, losers of all three games played so far. Both teams will be desperate for a first win of the season.

In the other game scheduled, Arnett Gardens FC will be seeking a second win when they host Proven Girls at the Anthony Spaulding Complex, two points separating the teams. Arnett are on four points in sixth position with Proven in ninth place on two points.
