Chas E Ramson gifts residents of ‘Moscow’
CHAS E Ramson Limited handed over 500 bun and cheese packages to residents in Waterhouse, St Andrew, last Tuesday in keeping up with its annual Easter tradition of treating its neighbours.
This has been a deep-rooted commitment between the company and the people of the community.
This tradition started years ago, as part of efforts by Chas E Ramson — one of the many long-standing businesses on Spanish Town Road –– to bring the company and the community together.
According to Christopher Ramson, director of operations at the company, it ensures that it gives back to the community, especially the children.
“By sharing this Easter tradition the company hopes to strengthen community bonds and spread the message of goodwill during this special time of year,” said Ramson.
“The company is committed to contributing positively to the local economy, togetherness, and the well-being of its neighbours who are now family,” Ramson added.
Leroy “Pedo” Moore, community coordinator for the section of Waterhouse known as Moscow was thankful as he accepted the donation which he said would be shared among the residents.
Chas E Ramson Limited is one of Jamaica’s longest-serving distribution companies, operating since 1922. It is now led by fourth generation Phillip Ramson who is the managing director.
