St Ann murders trending down despite recent killings
ST ANN, Jamaica — Despite two murders in the last three days, the number of murders recorded in St Ann since the start of the year remains lower when compared to the corresponding period last year.
The two killings pushed the tally to 18, nine less than what was documented in 2024.
The St Ann police are currently investigating both incidents.
The most recent occurred in Breadnut Hill in Ocho Rios on Monday morning, where a businesswoman, Thelma Brown, was shot and killed on her way home from a bar she operated in the township.
In the other incident, 54-year-old Robert Llewelyn’s partially decomposed body was found with gunshot wounds at his home in St Ann’s Bay on Saturday.
