e-Group Communications returns to Jamaica for Land X-Change

ST JAMES, Jamaica- Following their bold and impressive debut in hosting their Land X-Change event in Montego Bay in the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in October, 2020, the internationally renowned e-Group Communications recently returned to the island and staged a stellar four-day activity across three parishes in western Jamaica, geared towards the tourism and hospitality sector.

The event, which was sponsored by the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB), was jointly organised and meticulously executed by the JTB’s Groups and Conventions Department based in its Miami Office, along with e-Group Communications – a travel and tourism focused email marketing company, also based in Miami, Florida.

“The Land X-Change is a very special occasion for all of us. It is about building relationships, and we have built some really fabulous partnerships,” Groups and Conventions Manager at the JTB Miami Office, John Woolcock, told the large gathering from the onset.

Woolcock credited the large contingent of what he described as ‘amazing meeting planners’ (buyers), for making the trip to Jamaica to personally meet with some of the most tremendous local suppliers of five-star resort facilities, destination management companies and attractions owners/managers.

“This gives you all the opportunity to witness the Jamaican tourism product first-hand, making it so much easier for you to market and sell Jamaica to your corporate America client base,” Woolcock told the meeting planners.

Woolcock said the JTB was proud to have been both a sponsor and partner of the 2025 X-Change.

“We are pleased that Jamaica was selected yet again for this event.

E-Group Communications prides its Land X-Change as the number one Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) event in the Caribbean – connecting stakeholders to its global travel and tourism network of over 90,000 retail travel agents and over 40,000 MICE contacts.

And with Jamaica revered as the jewel of the Caribbean, E-Group’s president and chief executive officer, Robert ‘Bob’ Burke added that Jamaica is a world-class meeting and incentive destination. Burke expressed how pleased he was to be back in Jamaica once again and to have staged the Land X-Change on the island. “We truly appreciated the JTB for having partnered with e-group and for sponsoring the event,” said Burke.

Sections of western Jamaica were a buzzed with multiple activities as the 2025 Land X-Change event brought together, more than 100 suppliers and buyers both locally and from across the globe to showcase an array of products and services across the hospitality industry.

The luxurious Princess Hotels and Resorts located in Green Island, Hanover, hosted two-and-a-half days of the activities, with Royalton Resorts in Negril, Chukka Outpost; Half Moon; Secrets Resorts and Spas; and the Rose Hall Great House also hosted several other segments of the Land X-Change events.
