Rain didn’t stop the vibes at Passion for Fashion in Connecticut
Dancehall artiste and philanthropist Kirky D is thankful for another successful staging of his annual birthday celebration Passion for Fashion.
Despite heavy showers earlier in the evening, the event which took place last Saturday at Tropix on Main Street in Hartford, Connecticut, attracted a large number of patrons, who celebrated with the Jamaican-born entertainer.
The event featured the musical juggling of Rast X Dappa, DJ Shane, Sky Level Movements and Emperor. Kayla Di Diva and Carter hosted the event.
“The party was a success even though it had rained earlier, but I knew it would still be a great night because the God I serve is a true and living God. Everything went well, all the DJs came through and did their thing, the patrons had a good time. It was good vibes all over, no violence, top class juggling and the patrons came out dressed to impress,” Kirky D shared with Observer Online on Monday.
Kirky D added: “I want to thank everyone who came out and big up those who wanted to come but didn’t make it. Big up to those who gave out fliers and shared and promoted the event on their social media pages. The highlight of the night was the prayer and the blessings that Life Changing Outreach Ministries under the direction of Dr. Lisa Grey and Walter Grey from New Haven, Connecticut, who came through and blessed the event with reverence. That was a great way to start the event.”
He said patrons from surrounding areas in Connecticut including Waterbury, Bridgeport and Hartford, were also in attendance at the event.
“Next year, we’re gonna do it bigger and better. Big up the hosts who did an excellent job keeping the patrons entertained and thanks for the support from the media that came out,” said Kirky D.
Prior to migrating 15 years ago, Kirky D resided in the community of Waterhouse in Kingston. He also lived in Port Maria, Cockburn Pen and Portmore.
