Junior Bloodline: ‘Good music still a win’
Music producer to serve up heavy dose of ‘music medicine’ with new rhythm
No stranger to the industry, music producer Junior Bloodline believes his new rhythm possesses the ability to heal.
With a heavy dose of reggae infused with some slow-tempo dancehall, the creative hopes listeners will “medicate” and purge as they fill up on some soul-stirring music.
“The title of this new rhythm is Music Medication and, as the name suggests, the content will be like medicine,” he told the
Jamaica Observer.
“With so much negative energy in the music these days this project will push nothing but good energy through some good music from some positive artistes,” he added.
It will feature songs from Bugle, Yaksta, Proghres, Denyque, and up-and-coming gospel artiste Gee.
“It will be smooth reggae with some slow dancehall vibes. Nothing jumpy or too loud; just some mellow vibes,” shared the producer. “
“All nine artistes on the project delivered positive tracks. Each song connects on a different note, and I believe the rhythm has many hits. Aside from the songs from the notable artistes you expect to do well, there are songs from DBurnz and Papiito, for example, that are also so good,” he explained.
Giving some specifics, he said: “DBurnz is a bad young artiste and his song No Eulogy will be on for the books. Then you have Papiito, another bad new vocalist whose track is about the ups and downs of life and, trust me, that’s a hit too. Denyque has a track every mother can relate to as she sings to her kids. While Yaksta, Bugle, and Proghres all have soul-touching songs.”
The producer, who has also worked with the likes of Chronic Law, Munga Honourable, Tommy Lee Sparta, and I-Octane, says the Music Medication rhythm will prove “good music still a win”.
“The vibes, the energy, the types of songs that will be showcased on this project will show that good music still has its place in this industry. Sometimes it feels like the industry is just all about one narrative as songs pushing a particular storyline are plenty, but this project is proof that good music still a win,” he said. “It brings diversity with different artistes singing about different topics in different melodies all on the same rhythm. It’s giving different moods, and so I have high expectations for this project.”
Music Medication will be released on all platforms this Friday with Junior Bloodline hoping to kick promotion into even higher gear with a few music videos. According to the producer, all the songs are to be accompanied by visuals which will drop at different times over the next four months.
