Terri-Karelle Johnson baptised
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Local media personality and communication practitioner Terri-Karelle Johnson (nee Reid) has taken a leap of faith, announcing with her social media followers that she was recently baptised.
“I did a thing! I did a huge thing! I did the most colossal thing! I had always accepted Jesus as my Saviour. I have always submitted everything to him, and I make no move without His approval, but I had never been baptised… until now!” Johnson shared in a captioned video on Instagram.
In the video, she was seen being immersed in a pool of water after openly stating that she had repented of her sins and accepted Jesus as her Lord and personal saviour. Johnson shared that this move is the best decision she has ever made.
“Last year, my word for the year was ‘THE WORD”. I wanted to understand scripture more. For 2025, my word was “Baptism”, signifying a rebirth. Don’t play with God; when you decide to seek Him, He makes Himself known! Baptism is the best decision I’ve ever made. The most beautiful “project” I’ve ever completed. The boldest declaration I’ve ever spoken. The deepest self-care I’ve ever experienced,” she said.

“The best ambassadorship I could ever receive. I came with my flaws and brokenness and rose with peace, purpose, and a heart made new. No achievement, no title, no stage or platform will ever compare to this moment. If you’ve been searching for meaning. If your soul has been restless… Or perhaps you want to recommit… call on him,” she added.
