Abigail Campbell heads to track powerhouse University of Arkansas
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Hydel’s 400m athlete Abigail Campbell has joined the Arkansas Razorbacks and will head to the University of Arkansas for college.
The Razorbacks made the announcement in an Instagram post on Wednesday with a picture of Campbell sporting the bright red Razorback kit.
The 400m U20 silver medallist moves from one champion school to another; she helped secure Hydel High’s Girls’ Championships win this year, while the Razorbacks are reigning NCAA Women’s Track and Field Indoor Champions.
The Razorbacks took home the title for the second consecutive time and third time in four years.
Campbell’s events include the 400m, 4x100m and 4x400m.
She won gold in all three during the 2025 edition of the Issa Grace Kennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Championships.
She was also part of the 2025 Penn Relays mixed 4x400m team that set a new U20 record.
