Trinidad and Tobago rattled by earthquake
PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad (CMC) – An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.9 rattled Trinidad and Tobago on Tuesday, but there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
The Seismic Research Centre (SRC) of the St Augustine campus of the University of the West Indies (UWI) said that the quake, which occurred at 4.20 pm (local time), was located at Latitude: 11.26N, Longitude: 61.40W and at a depth of 20 kilometres (km).
The SRC said that the tremor was felt 67 km, north northeast of the capital, Port of Spain, 70 km north northwest of Arima, east of here and 73 km west of Scarborough in Tobago.
