JCF, Indecom probing attempted murder-suicide in St Mary

ST MARY, Jamaica-The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) says it is investigating an alleged shooting of a woman by her police constable spouse on Wednesday at their Richmond, St Mary home.

The deceased is 20-year-old D’Johnnay Graham.

According to reports from the police, approximately 9:15 pm, residents reported hearing explosions, prompting their response to the scene.

Upon arrival, the police found two individuals with gunshot wounds. Graham was pronounced dead at hospital, and the police constable is currently undergoing treatment.

JCF says the incident is under investigation by the Independent Commission of Investigations (Indecom), who was notified, given the involvement of a policeman in what is suspected to be a case of murder and attempted suicide.
