Disconnected but still billed

FLOW resolves issue, issues apology and rebate

Dear Claudienne,

This is my issue with FLOW. My Yard and Road service with FLOW was disrupted during Hurricane Beryl in July last year. I have made several calls to FLOW about the problem, to no avail. On January 9, 2025 I visited the company’s Mandeville office, returned their boxes, and asked to have the service disconnected.

I was using their service until October 2024 and was receiving bills for the Yard and Road service, even though I was only able to use the road service. Although I stopped getting any service at all from FLOW in November 2024 I am still receiving bills, so could you please assist me with this issue?

SM

Dear SM,

Tell Claudienne has discussed your issue with FLOW.

Flow has addressed the issue you complained about and has sent the column the following email:

“Rebate totalling $12,094.37 was applied to SM’s account on March 8, 2025 for the loss of service from August 4 to December 1, 2024. SM also requested a reconnection, and the installation date has been scheduled and she has been advised.

We take this opportunity to apologise to SM for any inconveniences caused and to reiterate our commitment to providing a customer experience that meets her expectations.”

We wish you all the best.

Have a problem with a store, utility, a company? Telephone 876- 936-9436 or CELL/whatsapp # 876-484-1349 or write to: Tell Claudienne c/o Sunday Finance, Jamaica Observer, 40-42 1/2 Beechwood Avenue, Kingston 5; or e-mail: edwardsc@jamaicaobserver.com. Please include a contact phone number.
