Sheryl Lee Ralph nominated for outstanding supporting actress for Emmy Awards

KINGSTON, Jamaica— Jamaican-American actress Sheryl Lee Ralph has been nominated in the category of outstanding supporting actress in a comedy series for her role as Barbara Howard in the sitcom Abbott Elementary for the 77th Emmy Emmy Awards.

Ralph is among the list of six other nominees announced on Tuesday vying for the award. This is her fourth consecutive nomination for the category which she won in 2022.

Other nominees include Hannah Einbinder who played the role of Ava Daniels in Hacks, Kathryn Hahn as Maya Mason in The Studio, Janelle James as Ava Coleman in Abbott Elementary, Catherine O’Hara as Patty Leigh in The Studio and Jessica Williams as Gaby in Shrinking.

The 77th Emmy Awards will be held on September 14.
