Timmy Love eyes global impact with second solo album, ‘Love & Unity’
While working Connecticut’s live reggae scene with his band in the last five years, singer/musician Timmy Love also took time to record several songs that did well for him in New York City and South Florida.
Some of those singles are on Love & Unity, his second solo album which was released in July. It contains covers of pop anthems such as Forever Young, originally done by Alphaville, Africa (Toto) and Kiss From A Rose, the Grammy-winner by Seal.
The title track, an original, is a collaboration with Luciano which came out in 2019.
Timmy Love, who did a promotional stint for Love & Unity in May, told Observer Online that he put “his heart and soul in this album”.
He added that, “My expectations are twofold. Firstly, I have faith that this album will find its way around the globe, so that the entire world will hear it and fall in love with it. Secondly, I try to make this album as diverse as I possibly can, thinking of getting everyone’s attention.”
Born in St Mary, Timmy Love worked for many years in the Connecticut health sector. He is best known in that state as leader of the RefleXX Band, with whom he recorded five albums.
Time of Your Life, his first solo album, came out in 2017.
