Brace for unstable weather conditions this weekend — Met Service
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Meteorological Service of Jamaica says Jamaicans are to expect rainy conditions as a trough moves across the western Caribbean this weekend.
The broad trough is expected to remain across the region over the next few days and is forecast to bring unstable weather conditions for countries, including Jamaica.
Additionally, a Tropical Wave is expected to move across the island by Friday afternoon.
The Met Service says afternoon and evening conditions are forecast to become mostly cloudy with widely scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms across sections of most parishes.
Lingering showers are expected on Friday night.
In the wider Caribbean, forecasters have indicated that while flooding is possible in the Leeward Islands because of Tropical Storm Jerry, the system is not a threat to Jamaica.
The centre of Jerry will continue passing to the north of the Leeward Islands on Friday, then move away from the islands later in the day.
