Steve McClaren makes six changes to ReggaeBoyz starting team against Curacao
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The ReggaeBoyz have made six changes to the team that will start against Curacao in Friday’s final round World Cup qualification game in their Concacaf Group B game at the Ergilio Hato Stadium.
Head coach Steve McClaren had named the same team for Jamaica’s wins over Bermuda and Trinidad and Tobago last month but have made a number of changes for the game against second- placed Curacao who are on four points, two behind Group leaders Jamaica.
Andre Blake returns in goal in place of Jahmali Waite, while Ethan Pinnock, Amari’i Bell and Dexter Lembikisa are into the defence, while Bobby Reid and debutant Ian Fray are also named.
McClaren has retained the three attackers -Bailey Cadamarteri, Tyreece Campbell and Renaldo Cephas, while Richard King is back in defence and Jonathon Russell in the midfield.
There are no places for Damion Lowe, who captained the team in the previous two games, Greg Leigh, Kasey Palmer and Issac Hayden.
