Four Mt Pleasant players named in Caribbean Cup Best XI
KINGSTON, Jamaica—Four members of Caribbean Cup champions Mount Pleasant FA were included in the 2025 Concacaf Caribbean Cup Best XI that was announced on Tuesday.
Goalkeeper Tafari Chambers, defender Jamoi Topey, midfielder Jashaun Anglin and forward Daniel Green were included in the team that was published on the Concacaf website.
Mount Pleasant FC and beaten finalists Universidad O&M FC of the Dominican Republic both had four players on the team.
Chambers, who allowed just one goal in the regular season, and who won the Golden Glove award given to the best goalkeeper, was described as “a standout for the championship side, coming up with 17 saves in eight games en route to the trophy.”
Green, who was named the Caribbean Cup’s best player, scored two goals and had an assist over 553 minutes of play.
He tallied nine total shots, six on target throughout the tournament, the website reported.
