Arnett into seventh place in JPL after beating Dunbeholden
KINGSTON, Jamaica— Arnett Gardens moved up to seventh place in the Jamaica Premier League after edging Dunbeholden FC 1-0 in their second round game played at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex on Monday.
The win ended a three-game run without a win and saw Arnett Gardens moved up from 11th place to seventh on 26 points, one point out of the top six spot and ahead of defending champions Cavalier SC on goal-difference.
Giovanni Taylor came off the bench to score the goal in the 83rd minute, his shot from just inside the 18-yard box which saw goalkeeper Jean-Luke Wilmott allowing the ball to slip under his body and trickle across the line.
The win was the fifth straight for Arnett Gardens against Dunbeholden FC and they are unbeaten against them in the last seven games.
