Bad Dawg introduces Streaky Bacon

KNOWN for its bold flavour and larger-than-life brand personality, Bad Dawg is expanding beyond sausages to give consumers even more ways to enjoy the taste they know and love.

For its 14th birthday it launched Bad Dawg Streaky Bacon — a strategic move for the brand and one that blends innovation with accessibility.

Starting with its Golden Wheels to its growing presence on supermarket shelves islandwide, Bad Dawg in a release said it continues to evolve while staying true to its mantra of changing lives and creating experiences together.

Nicole Hall, senior manager for commercial marketing at CB Foods, described the move into bacon as a natural progression.

“Introducing Bad Dawg Streaky Bacon at this time is the next step in our evolution. As we celebrate 14 years of the ‘Bigga. Betta. Badda’ sausage, this expansion allows us to bring that same bold, smoky flavour that consumers love into more everyday meals. Our audience already trusts the Bad Dawg flavour profile, and bacon gives them even more ways to create their own…food experiences,“ she said.

The release said the product has been in development as part of the brand’s broader innovation pipeline, with a strong focus on delivering the distinctive flavour that has made Bad Dawg a household name. Early reactions from both customers and vendors have reportedly been encouraging, reinforcing the brand’s confidence in the new offering.

Designed for everyday creativity, Bad Dawg Streaky Bacon is said to deliver versatility across multiple meal occasions, from traditional breakfast plates to burgers, wraps, pastas, and loaded comfort dishes. The release said even the rendered bacon fat adds value in the kitchen, giving home cooks and chefs another layer of flavour to work with.

On the production side, CB Foods Head of Meat Production Nathan Nembhard explained that quality and consistency were central to the development process.

“Bad Dawg Streaky Bacon starts with high-quality pork belly, carefully selected for the ideal balance of lean meat and fat. The bellies are seasoned and smoked under controlled conditions to develop the rich, bold taste consumers expect. After smoking, the bacon is chilled, precision-sliced, and packaged to maintain freshness and consistency from our plant to the consumer’s plate,” Nembhard said.

He added that the innovation lies in successfully translating the brand’s signature flavour into a new format.

“This isn’t just another bacon. We’ve taken the iconic Bad Dawg flavour profile and extended it into a product that fits seamlessly into everyday meals while maintaining that unique flavour the brand is known for,” he said.

Bad Dawg Streaky Bacon is now available in supermarkets islandwide, the release said.
