Cannabis-use in the treatment of cervical cancer
Dear Editor,
As we focus on the devastating impact of cervical cancer in April, Cervical Cancer Awareness Month, an increasing number of patients are exploring holistic natural protocols to manage their disease, most notably highly concentrated cannabis extracts like Rick Simpson Oil (RSO).
I am a 64-year-old prostate cancer survivor, now 15 years out from my diagnosis. During my journey, I chose to follow this same protocol, alongside very strict changes to my diet and lifestyle, things like improving nutrition, reducing stress, staying physically active, and being intentional about my overall well-being.
Today, I feel remarkably well, honestly, as fit and energetic as I did in my 20s. Any symptoms I have are minimal and manageable, and I am able to live a full, active life.
I made the personal decision not to pursue conventional treatments. That choice was deeply influenced by watching my father go through them and seeing how difficult that experience was for him before he ultimately passed from prostate cancer.
Every patient’s path is different, but my experience has shown me that, with the right approach and commitment, it’s possible to support the body in a meaningful and positive way.
For patients interested in this approach, they can research the traditional Rick Simpson protocols.
Thanks to progressive governance, cannabis therapy is now readily available in Jamaica and should be explored as an alternative treatment protocol for cancer and all chronic illness. Even Donald Trump now gets it, clearly it is easy to see.
In treating cervical cancer utilising vaginal suppositories allows for localised delivery directly to the pelvic region, bypassing the liver to minimise psychoactive “highs” while effectively managing localised pain.
Cannabidiol (CBD) and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the main chemicals in cannabis, induce apoptosis (programmed cell death) in cervical cancer cells and inhibit the growth of new blood vessels that tumours need to survive.
RSO/cannabis is being used successfully to treat chronic disease….ask ChatGPT and always do your own research .
