Michelle Chong to grace St George’s Lecture Series on Tuesday
JAMAICAN entrepreneur Michelle Chong, CEO and co-founder of Honey Bun (1982) Limited, will be the featured speaker at the upcoming St George’s Lecture Series to be held on Tuesday at the Abe Issa Auditorium.
The lecture series continues its tradition of inviting distinguished Jamaicans to engage and inspire students through personal stories of achievement, perseverance and service.
Chong is widely regarded as one of Jamaica’s most accomplished business leaders.
Under her leadership, Honey Bun has grown from a small local bakery into one of the country’s leading wholesale baking companies, with products exported to international markets.
With more than 40 years of experience in manufacturing and entrepreneurship, Chong has also been a strong advocate for the development of small and medium-size enterprises.
She has served in several leadership roles within the business community, including as president of the Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters Association.
Organisers say Chong’s address will focus on motivating students, sharing lessons from her entrepreneurial journey, and encouraging young people to pursue excellence as they prepare for the opportunities and challenges of the future.
The lecture is expected to attract students, faculty members and invited guests.
