Bare Skinz lights up Negril
Wavz Beach on Negril’s famed 7-mile stretch was transformed into a pulsating hub of entertainment last Saturday as Bare Skinz delivered a night of top performances as part of the push to reaffirm the resort town’s reputation as a premier destination for events.
Selectors including Lollipop, Flarco YM, Trophy Sniper, Platinum Xclusiv, and Absolute warmed up the crowd with impressive sets, laying the foundation for the explosive performances that followed.
The first headliner, Shaneil Muir, wasted no time in commanding the stage. Cycling through hits like Top Gyal, Naturally, and Likkle Miss, she blended artistry with audience connection taking videos on fans’ phones and exchanging playful banter. Her energy peaked with freestyles before she dove back into her catalogue with Hype and Boasy. She closed her set with Crosses, exiting to the strains of Secured, leaving patrons buzzing.
Momentum carried seamlessly into Tommy Lee Sparta’s set. Opening with songs including Buss A Blank, Rich Badness, and Under Vibes, he drew wild cheers with crowd favourites Psycho and Protocol. Adding to the excitement, he introduced artistes from his camp, including Skirdle Sparta and Diedohh, who earned their own applause. Tommy Lee reclaimed the spotlight to close with Blessings, Control, and Cyber Freak, ensuring the energy never dipped.
Event promoter Dwayne Parkinson of Damage Musiq Group expressed he was happy with the response from patrons. He also emphasised his joy in contributing to the resurgence of Negril as a top entertainment hub.
“We got DMs from patrons thanking us for providing quality entertainment. Bare Skinz Negril delivered stellar DJ sets, Shaneil Muir gave a captivating performance, and this was her first performance in Negril. Tommy Lee Sparta is a powerhouse and we’re happy to put on a production with both in this space. The night underscored Negril’s renewed claim as a hot spot for entertainment,” Parkinson stated.
