Teen charged with murder of father in St Elizabeth
KINGSTON, Jamaica— A 19-year-old man has been charged for the stabbing death of his father, 53-year-old Gary Allwood, otherwise called ‘Blugist,’ at his home in Round Hill district, St Elizabeth on Tuesday, April 28.
Charged is Odaine Allwood, otherwise called ‘Easy,’ a farmer of the same address.
Reports from the Lacovia police are that about midday, Allwood and his father had an argument that escalated into a physical altercation.
Allwood allegedly used a knife to stab his father in the upper body. The police were alerted, and on arrival, the elder Allwood was seen on the ground with stab wounds.
He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Odaine was later apprehended and charged after he gave a caution statement to the police reportedly admitting to the crime.
His court date is being finalised.
