Men’s 4x100m team makes amends with World Championships qualification
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica’s men’s 4x100m relay team booked their spot in next year’s World Athletics Championships in Beijing, China after winning their second qualifying round event on Sunday’s final day of the Debswana World Athletics Relays in Gaborone, Botswana, running 38.14 seconds.
An unchanged team of Rohan Watson, Odaine McPherson, Adrian Kerr and Rasheed Foster had missed out in the first qualifying round on Saturday, finishing fourth with 38.08 seconds.
On Sunday, they beat Belgium who ran a national record 38.40 seconds and also booked their place in Beijing while Nigeria was third with 38.50 seconds.
