Kingston man charged after gun seizure at home
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A 29-year-old Kingston man has been charged with possession of a prohibited weapon and unauthorised possession of ammunition following an incident in his community on Thursday, May 7.
He has been identified as Julian Manning of Border Avenue, Kingston 19, St Andrew.
Reports from the Constant Spring police are that about 5:15 am, officers carried out a targeted operation at Manning’s residence, during which a search was conducted.
The operation led to the seizure of a Glock 19 pistol with a magazine containing eight rounds of ammunition.
Manning was taken into custody and later charged following a question-and-answer interview conducted in the presence of his attorney.
His court date is being finalised.
