Lady Da Flame wows Mother’s Day show at UBS Arena

NEW YORK, United States — Before the reggae legends took the stage at UBS Arena in New York, Lady Da Flame delivered a stunning performance that wowed the thousands of reggae fans who had flocked to ‘The Mother’s Day Experience’ show.

As fans slowly filled the building, her performance brought warmth, energy, and anticipation to the atmosphere.

During her performance of the Goodness of God, her voice echoed beautifully through the arena, pulling the crowd deeper into the experience and preparing their hearts for the incredible performances still to come.

People swayed to the rhythm, nodded to the melodies, and cheered louder with every song.

She sang a song for the mothers with Mama Gave Us Life, her soulful voice reverberating throughout the arena as she won new fans.

She then did a medley of songs such as Betty Wright’s No Pain and Second Time on the 2 Times Riddim.

She captivated the audience with soulful renditions of Queen of Lovers Rock Phyllis Dillon’s Perfidia and One Life to Live.

She closed her set with an uptempo version of Dillon’s Don’t Stay Away which radiated raw passion and emotion, setting the tone for what would become an unforgettable night of music.

Patrons were left to muse that Lady Da Flame didn’t just open the concert — she ignited the spirit of the night and set the tone for performances from her fellow stars Beres Hammond, Stephanie Mills and Romain Virgo.

The singer is now in Jamaica, promoting her Journey EP.

“The Journey EP sales are doing well since released the streams are high, and has hit the charts multiple times especially with in the United Kingdom (UK),” she said.

The EP, produced by Rawborn Productions is powered by the lead single, No One Like You (Remake) featuring iconic singer Sanchez. The single has hit ethnic reggae charts in the United States (US) and is racking up spins on international radio stations.

Lady Da Flame said she enjoyed working with Sanchez on the single.

“Sanchez is extremely talented and professional so it seemed like a breeze getting things done. The musical chemistry just cannot be explained,” she siad.

Other songs on The Journey EP include All Praises To The Most High and More Dan Prayer. The project reflects her personal growth and spiritual walk, offering listeners a body of work meant to uplift, energise, and renew.

Lady Da Flame is best known is gospel circles for her powerhouse song, God Answers Prayers which has over 8.3 million views on YouTube.

“God Answers Prayers is my biggest hit to date with over a billion streams on multiple platforms. It has positioned me in a really good place in ethnic gospel as I have multiple gospel hits in the diaspora community,” she said.
