Yaksta and Bellwetha release controversial ‘Farmer and Banger’ collaboration
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Dancehall and Reggae stars Yaksta and Bellwetha have released a very controversial collaborative effort entitled Farmer and Banger, which has many musical pundits talking.
In the track, Bellwetha is presented as the “banger,” while Yaksta is presented as the “farmer.”
This oxymoron creates a very entertaining track, which is quickly captivating the underground dancehall scene. According to Bellwetha, he has no problem with controversy.
“Music is art and art imitates life so just as in life some things you do people will like and some things people won’t. As such, people will talk suh whether people talk good or bad about the topic of the song me still good because a reality we a talk about. The song has the potential to become a major hit because it is catchy, controversial, and real, ” stated Bellwetha.
Yaksta is no stranger to controversy, especially of late, considering the fact that he recently sent social media into a frenzy following a series of social media rants “burning fire” on several topics. This fact adds further fuel to the debate around the song, with some social media users taking issue with some of the lines of the song, which suggest that the Rastafarian artiste is endorsing some activities which are deemed to be deviant behaviour.
Currently, the Farmer and Banger single, which is produced by Bell Bell Entertainment and Cooper Records, is racking up the views on all major digital platforms.
