JCSA to meet NWA management on Tuesday to address worker concerns
KINGSTON, Jamaica—The Jamaica Civil Service Association (JCSA) says it is set to meet with the management of the National Works Agency (NWA) on Tuesday, May 26, at 10:00 am to address concerns raised by workers regarding restructuring, reclassification and other urgent matters.
The JCSA, in a press release on Wednesday, said in light of this development, it is asking members to return to work on Thursday, May 21, 2026, pending discussions with management and the Ministry of Finance and the Public Service.
The association further requested that members wear black on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, as a sign of solidarity as the JCSA continues to advocate for urgent action and the resolution of the issues affecting workers.
“The JCSA remains committed to constructive dialogue and to ensuring fairness, transparency, and equitable treatment for all workers,” it said.
