Jamaican (Bam Bam), a reconstructed Afrobeats/house/EDM version of Sister Nancy’s classic
Bam Bam, credited to French producers HUGEL and SOLTO, continues to make its presence felt on multiple Billboard and global charts.
Released late last year via MoBlack Records and Make the Girls Dance Records, Jamaican (Bam Bam) moves up from #145 to #135 on the latest Billboard Global 200 chart. It inches up to #74 on Global Excluding US Top 200.
Over on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart, the song peaked at #2 over 24 weeks ago but rebounded from #6 to #5.
Meanwhile, on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, the song rises to #14. Globally, the song has littered several charts. It peaked at #50 on the UK Singles chart, but moves up to #9 in Argentina, #5 in Belgium, #2 in Colombia, #1 in Dominican Republic, #4 in Ecuador, #21 in France, #74 in Germany, #6 in Greece, #3 in Honduras, #17 in Lebanon, #30 in Lithuania, #35 in Luxembourg, #34 in Netherlands, #10 in Puerto Rico, #4 in Romania, #26 in Switzerland, and #18 in Venezuela.
You Remind Me by DJ Khaled featuring Vybz Kartel, Bounty Killer, Buju Banton, and others sailed to #47 on R&B/Hip Hop Airplay and #25 on Rhythmic Airplay, while PBT by Travis Scott featuring Tyla and Vybz Kartel topped out at #5 on Rhythmic Airplay in December.
Shaggy’s Looking Lovely, featuring Robin Thicke, taken from Shaggy’s recently released album Lottery (Ranch/VP Records) slips two rungs down to #34 on Rhythmic Airplay.
Now onto the Billboard Reggae Albums chart, where Legend by Bob Marley and the Wailers remains locked at #1 for 331 non-consecutive weeks. Two albums re-enter, Dutty Classics Collection by Sean Paul hops in at #2, while Kaya by Bob Marley and the Wailers revisits the tally at #10.
Best of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection by Shaggy dips to #3, World on Fire by Stick Figure remains at #4,
Greatest Hits by UB40 inches up to #5, and Sean Paul’s Dutty Rock slides down to #6.
Wisdom and Set in Stone by Stick Figure are #7 and #8, while Exodus by Bob Marley and the Wailers inches up to #9.
Moving now to regional charts, Looking Lovely by Shaggy and Robin Thicke takes over the #1 spot on the New York Reggae chart, while Be Careful by Romain Virgo darts from #9 to #3.
Butterflies by Buju Banton sprints from #13 to #9 and Oh Girls by Tuff Heart steps up to #26.
Goddess by Protoje and Shenseea enters at #29.
Over on the South Florida Reggae chart, Have a Little Faith by Willie Stewart and Friends remains at #1 for a third week. Ain’t No Time to Cry by Winchester T is #3, I’m in Love by G Cole #12, and Dem Bad Mind by Anthony B is #22.
Show Us the Way by Eddie Bullen featuring Kandie K.A.S.H., Tasha T, and Mel Dube remains at #1 on the Rebel Vibez Top Ten Canadian Reggae chart.
